As a generation of journey-level workers in skilled trade are set to retire in the coming decade, they leave behind a huge gap of work that needs to be done. Instead of a slow search for the journey-level workers that they needed, Frontier Electric of Washington established their own trade school known as Frontier Electric Apprenticeship and Training (FEAT) to bring more skilled workers into the industry.

Through this pursuit, apprentices can work alongside journey level workers on different projects throughout the greater Portland area, and learn concepts and calculations in a classroom setting four hours a week. Our team of apprentices varies widely from those who come straight from high school to those who have transitioned into the industry from another career. An apprenticeship is for anyone who is excited to learn and cares about quality work.
